  • Zazenkai is an opportunity to practice meditation for an extended period of time. We will offer zazen, walking meditation and opportunity for daisan.   • Dharma Circle is an informal discussion group that focuses on dharma study and fellowship. At this meeting we will discuss our thoughts and insights about the first part of the seminal Zen book: Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind written by Shunryu Suzuki.   • Wednesdays - On your cushion by 6:55am
  • Michele Daniels has resumed offering daisan on Wednesday mornings at EBZ. If you would like to know if Michele will be there on any given Wednesday, email asmgdaniels@optonline.net.


  • Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm
  • Sandy Jakubowski is leading a group of folks who sit zazen in Boonton on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00pm at St. John's Episcopal Church on Cornelia Street. Due to building usage, please call or text Sandy (973) 610-2394 by 5:00pm to let her know that you are attending. Street parking is available.


    Weekly Zazen Contributions & Timing Details

  • A $5 contribution for zazen is requested. A basket is available at the door monthly, quarterly, or yearly contributions are accepted as well.
  • Tuesday Evenings

  • 6:00pm Zendo opens (approximately)
  • 6:25pm Practitioners expected to be on their cushion
  • 6:30pm - 8:10pm Zazen
  • Wednesday Mornings **

  • 6:50am Zendo opens (approximately)
  • 6:55am Practitioners expected to be on their cushion
  • 7:00am - 8:00am Zazen (two twenty-five minute periods)
  • Thursday Mornings **

  • 6:50am Zendo opens (approximately)
  • 6:55am Practitioners expected to be on their cushion
